INTERNATIONAL Report

Oct-Nov 2007

Edito

This year again many visitors visited our stand at the HortiFair 2007! We are happy to receive you and we will keep you informed about our following participations.

During this event Sudlac introduced its new product: DROPSTOP, to tackle the condensation problems on the inside of the greenhouse. This product is an additional solution for the climate and light control in your greenhouses. Something to try definitely!

From next season on, to follow up the development of TransPAR, we decided to relook the Serra L’Ombre by changing the name. Serra L’Ombre in fact has no meaning in any other language than French and for that we decided to change the name into Eclipse.

The chemical formula will not change. The metal can has slightly been changed but maintained its well known green colour. Also the name Serra L’Ombre will still appear in small on the can. A publicity campaign will call attention on this during the beginning of the season.

About the trade fairs during the end of this year: HortiMat (Orléans, France), HortiFair (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), Iberflora (Valencia, Spain) we have noticed a certain decrease in the number of visitors and exhibitors.

The increasing number of national trade fairs, few actual innovations, a tensed market, probably also the dates which were advanced by one month and surprised our usual visitors to come to Amsterdam are beyond a doubt some of the reasons explaining this tendency.

For a better light transmission

SUDLAC is present for almost 25 years on the horticultural market dropstop now and is extending his range of ‘horticulture - specialities for greenhouses’. SUDLAC offers a product to control condensation inside the greenhouses.

dropstopDropstop is developped for glass and plastics greenhouses. Through its hydrophilic action, it creates a thin, homogeneous and transparent layer.

Greenhouses: Transparent shading ?

In greenhouse cultures, climate control is obtained by optimising the sun rays. Certain sun-loving plants require a maximum of PAR-light, needed for the photosynthesis combined with an optimal climate, TransPAR will do this for your crops.

TransPAR is applied by spray gun on the outside surface of the greenhouse (plastic or glass). It prevents burning of the leaves and an excessive stress caused by the heat of the infrared radiation. The TransPAR allows you to limit the stress in your crops, while a maximum amount of light is preserved.

Ornemental production in Brazil

brésil The Sudlac shading paints now are largely available in Brazil. Imported by Arc Tec through Natal from where the growers in the Céara state and in the southern states are supplied. In Holambra the growers have their local distributor Holambra Insumos and further on in Sao Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul, Beltrame Agricola supplies growers with a shading adapted to their needs and local climate.

Holambra was founded by Dutchmen in 1948 who brought their knowledge of growing, what resulted in Holambra being the main production area in Brazil for ornamentals today. Holambra is also a mayor place for flower and ornamental plants, mainly because of the presence of the Veiling, which works as an auction, comparable with those in the Netherlands. ombrage brésil
